BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines — Education officials, coaches and athletes participating in the 2010 Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association (Cavraa) meet have expressed disgust over the conversion of the event’s opening program into a campaign rally for a political party here.

The officials, who asked not to be named for fear of antagonizing political leaders here, said they were embarrassed that a number of politicians took advantage of the event on Friday to praise Sen. Manuel Villar Jr., the Nacionalista Party standard bearer, and other candidates in the May 10 elections.

    how can you vote those kind of TRAPO’S—– they really don’t have delicateness…. if it’s only possible for us to name those unethical politicians who took advantage of the said sport fest, for us not to cast our votes on them… hmmmp..
    how dare them… they should put their campaigns in proper places….
    no doubt that they should not be and must not be elected as our officials, whether that’s in local or national position…
    i strongly agree about Dep Ed’s memorandum about “no campaigning during graduation rights”…
    hope that it should be implemented fully…
